💌 Note From Me
One of the biggest shifts in my career didn’t come from working harder — it came from speaking up.
Earlier on, I used to think if I just did great work, it would speak for itself.
But the truth?
People can’t advocate for what they don’t see — and they can’t see what you don’t say.
Learning to advocate for myself changed everything — my visibility, my opportunities, and my confidence.
So this week, we’re getting uncomfortable… in the best way.

3 Ways to Advocate for Yourself at Work

01. Make your work visible.
Doing great work isn’t enough if no one knows about it. Share your wins, highlight your impact, and make it easy for others to understand the value you bring. Visibility isn’t bragging, it’s clarity.
02. Create your own opportunities.
Don’t wait for someone to offer you the next step. Look for gaps, ideas, or areas where you can add value and step into them. Then bring people along by sharing your thinking and getting support. The people who move ahead aren’t always chosen. They position themselves.
03. Get in the right rooms.
Opportunities are often less about what you know and more about who sees you. Build relationships with people who influence decisions, keep your goals visible, and put yourself in spaces where conversations are happening.
🎯 Real Talk
You don’t get rewarded for potential.
You get rewarded for visibility.
There are people doing less than you who are moving faster simply because they’re speaking up, sharing their work, and putting themselves in the right rooms.
Learn how to play the game.
It will take you further than waiting ever will.
If you’re building a conference, corporate forum, or leadership event this year, let’s create something powerful.
