💌A Note From Me

There was a point in my career where I thought the answer was always more people.

More networking.
More coffee chats.
More events.

And while that helped, I realized something bigger:

The opportunities I was looking for were already sitting in my network… I just wasn’t leveraging them.

Most people focus on building relationships but never actually use them in a meaningful way.

And no, that doesn’t mean using people.
It means being intentional about how you show up, how you stay top of mind, and how you create mutual value.

Because the truth is, relationships don’t move your career just because they exist.
They move your career when you activate them.

Jazzlyn

3 Ways to Leverage Relationships You Already Have

01. Stay top of mind consistently.
Don’t only reach out when you need something. Send a quick message when something reminds you of them, check in after big moments, or share opportunities they’d care about. Staying visible in small ways keeps you relevant when bigger opportunities come up.

02. Be clear on what you actually want.
People can’t help you if they don’t know how. Instead of being vague, communicate what you’re looking for whether it’s exposure, a new role, or specific projects. The more clear you are, the easier it is for people to advocate for you or open doors.

03. Turn conversations into follow-through.
A good conversation means nothing if you don’t act on it. Follow up, apply the advice, and keep people updated when something moves forward. That’s how relationships build momentum and how people start to invest in your growth.
